Fuel scarcity: DPR seals 8 filling stations in Adamawa, Taraba

The Department of Petroleum Resources has sealed eight filling stations in Adamawa and Taraba states over misconduct.

The operations controller in charge of Adamawa and Taraba states, Musa Akin, said in Yola that the measures were taken to control the persistent fuel scarcity in the two states.

“As part of stiff measures to control the persistent fuel scarcity 8 filling stations have been sealed off in Adamawa and Taraba states.

“The stations were sealed off after (they were) found selling the product above official pump price and diversion,” he said.

Mr. Akin explained that the six sealed stations were in Adamawa while two others are in Taraba.
