Pastor Adeboye’s Son Reacts To Reports That He Called Osun Voters Fools

Pastor Leke Adeboye has reacted to reports that he lambasted Osun voters who had voted for the ruling party.

Leke Adeboye, the last son and Senior Personal Assistant of the General Overseer (Worldwide) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has denied lambasting and calling Osun State voters fools.

Recall that screenshots and posts reportedly from Leke’s social media had shown him criticizing Osun voters who voted for the ruling party.

However, Leke while reacting to the screenshots said that he was not the person behind the posts.

Speaking to Nigerian Tribune, Leke said he neither made such statement nor posted anything related to such comment on his social media handles.

He said: “I have gotten a few calls and messages today (Monday) saying I’m trending on social media because someone claimed I posted up my view on the current elections in Osun State. All those claiming I posted up on my Instagram that APC are fools lied against me. Even, I immediately went to check my Instagram story (@lekeAdeboye) handle, in fear that I have being hacked, because the only message I posted is a prayer for the new week we are about to go into.

“I want people to make their verifications and even check the whole page and confirm if there is anything relating to that. Don’t let fake news be the order of the day in our beloved country. I am not a politician and I do not belong to any political party. In fact, I did not participate in the election, so, why would I have condemned anybody or party over the election. I want to categorically inform the general public that I never made such statement or anything relating to that.”
