The entrance to the National Assembly Abuja has been blocked by operatives of the Department of State Security. This is according to information gleaned from a video being circulated by a senior aide to Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The unidentified person recording the video narrates, “This is the National Assembly entrance. DSS has blocked it and is turning members away. Staff are not even allowed on the premises.”
Some 30 pro-Buhari Senators had a meeting overnight with the director general of the SSS, Lawan Daura, to plot the impeachment of Bukola Saraki.
Premium Times report that from reliable sources, the senators have planned to elect the senate leader, Ahmed Lawan, as Senate President and Hope Uzodinma as his deputy.
As at the time of filing this report, more police officers are arriving the National Assembly.
