Russia Expels Diplomats From 23 Countries

Russia has retaliated and expelled diplomats from 23 countries which expelled Russian diplomats over the nerve agent attack on a former double agent.

The agent, Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, were poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent as they sat on a bench in Salisbury, United Kingdom on March 4.

Although Russia denied any involvement, many countries, including the UK and the US, blamed her for the attack and expelled her diplomats from their countries in protest.

They are: 13 Ukrainian, four Canadian, four Polish, four German, three Lithuanian, three Czech, three Moldovan, two Italian, two Dutch, two Spanish and two Danish diplomats.

Moscow reserved the right to respond to Belgium, Hungary, Montenegro and Georgia with regard to their actions over the Skripal case, according to Russian news agency Sputnik.

Russia also ordered the expulsion of 60 United States and 23 British diplomats in retaliation for similar moves by both countries.
