FG Declares Christmas, New Year Holidays

The Federal Government has declared December 25 and 26 as Christmas and Boxing Day holidays respectively.

The government also declared January 1 as New Year holiday.

In a Wednesday statement signed by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Mr Abubakar Magaji on behalf of the Minister, Lt.-Gen. Abdulralman Dambazau (rtd), the Federal Government urged Christians and other Nigerians to use the time to pray for the nation’s growth and development.

The government also urged citizens to continue striving to maintain peace and togetherness of one Nigeria.

Also, the government tasked citizens home and abroad to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its resolve to improve the standard of living of the citizenry and deliver dividends of democracy.
