May 30 Sit-At-Home: You Can’t Stop Us – MASSOB Dares IGP

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) has declared that the Nigerian Police is clearly panicstricken by the sit-at-home directive that will be observed by Biafrans on May 30, 2017 and as a result, has issued a reckless statement threatening to deal decisively with Biafrans who would dare commit the crime of sitting in their homes on the said date.

A statement by MASSOB leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu, urged Nigerians to hold the Nigerian Police responsible for any looting, arson or acts of violence perpetrated on the 30th of May, as every true Biafran will be at home and only the Police will be on the streets and should take responsibility for any untoward incident.

It further said, “This same police that is threatening to kill MASSOB and IPOB people on 30th May is still telling the residents to ignore our voluntary order for sit-at-home and go about their normal businesses.

The hypocritical stand of the Nigeria police and other security agencies is such that whoever they see on the road will be killed, any shop or market that open will be vandalised by them in name of looking for MASSOB or IPOB members. Another implication is that any vehicles seen on the road on 30th May will also be vandalised and confiscated by police and army.

MASSOB therefore urges the people of Biafra to be wise now that our enemies are seriously looking for ways to kill us; the only solution that will shame and belittle the Nigeria police, army, DSS, Navy and others is to be obedient in staying at home on 30th May, 2017 as a mark of honour for General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and all the fallen heroes of Biafra.”
