The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has raised the alarm over figures being quoted as impostors arrested in Anambra on social media during the JAMB examinations, declaring that only seven persons were arrested by security men.
JAMB Coordinator in the state, Mrs Lynda Aja Nwachukwu described as misleading, the figures bandied about by mischief makers.
Before now, there had been reports that about 10,000 persons were involved in examination malpractice in Anambra State during the JAMB exams.
Speaking with journalists yesterday in Awka, the JAMB Coordinator in the state Mrs Lynda Aja Nwachukwu, said the seven suspects were arrested by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
She, however, said that the examination in the state was a huge success and that plans were on to build on it.
Aja Nwachukwu said that some problems identified like candidates not being able to print at some exami-nation centres would soon be a thing of the past, adding that JAMB was prepared to give the best exami-nation process in the country.
However, some security personnel misbehaved in some centres during the examinations especially at night, while some students cried out because of malfunctioning of their laptops.
