Anti-EEDC protesters ground Enugu House of Assembly (PHOTOS)

Hundreds of protesters have taken over the premises of the Enugu State House of Assembly demanding the exit of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC.

Part of their grouses include outrageous billing, epileptic power supply, among others.

As at the time of filling this report, the protesters have occupied the Assembly complex, insisting that the State would no longer condone the activities of the EEDC.

They are asking the Federal Government to undertake a review of the privatization ‎of the power sector as the EEDC lacked the capacity to manage the distribution.
