Police bust robbery gang from Chad, Niger

The police in Ogun State have smached a five-member robbery gang from Chad and Niger Republics.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, disclosed this while parading 43 suspected criminals arrested by the command in the last two months.
The arrested foreign nationals included Abdullahi Hassan, Memud Aruna, Ismaila Abba, Ahmed Yusuf and Abbas Garba.
According to the police commissioner, the suspects had confessed to high profile crimes, including robbing a Chief Magistrate, Mrs Sofowora Oriyomi, in Abeokuta.
Iliyasu added that the gang also attacked one Pastor Abatan of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at Idi-Aba area of Abeokuta.
He stated that items recovered from them include three pump action guns, five live cartridges and two jack knives.
