Husband Allegedly Sent ‘Kill My Wife’ Texts to His Ex-Boss Instead of His Hitman

A husband accidentally revealed a plot to kill his wife and daughter when he text his former boss instead of the hitman, court documents allege.

Jeff Lytle had reportedly meant to send the message to a hitman, known as ‘Shayne’, but instead messaged his former manager who in turn contacted police.

In the message, the father unveiled the alleged plan to kill his wife, Rhoda Mee, and daughter and then pocket the £1.2 million insurance payout he would receive, Kiro 7 reports.

The 42-year-old even allegedly promised to split the sum with the hitman and provided details on how he might disguise the killing.

When interviewed by police, Lytle, of Monroe, Washington, said that his four-year-old daughter might have sent the messages.

Police arrested Lytle last week after reading the text, which allegedly started: ‘Hey Shayne hows it going? You remember you said that you would help me kill my wife. I’m going to take you up on that offer.’

The news station it added: ‘Life insurance is worth one million and if you want a bonus you can kill [daughter]. Her life insurance is 500K.’

‘If you can make it look like a robbery gone wrong or make it a accident she works at Walmart she gets off at 11:00.’
