Senate Denies N600m Rent For NASS Leaders From FCDA

For the umpteen time, the Senate has denied online media report credited to a civil society organisation, CATBAN that the Senate President Bukoka and his deputy; as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara and his deputy have collected about N600m as house rent from the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Dino Melaye, who disclosed this to journalists on Thursday, said the four presiding officers of the National Assembly are statutorily entitled to official residence each but chose to reside in their private house.
