Power outage again at Lagos international airport

A minor power hitch on Thursday occurred at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, which left the areas affected in darkness for almost an hour.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the spark happened at the Finger Main Distribution Board at the E-Finger of the airport at about 11.30am.

The incident was confirmed by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria in a statement by its Acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs Department, Henrietta Yakubu.
The statement said: “A spark occurred at the E-Finger of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on October 27 at about 11.30 a.m. Nigerian time.

“However, the engineers successfully corrected all defaults and normalcy was restored at the affected areas.”
