Nigerians to buy kerosene at ‘lower price’ soon — IPMAN

The Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has disclosed that the price of kerosene would soon crash because the association has already ordered 50 metric tons of kerosene from Russia.

The National Secretary General of Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria, Danladi Pasali made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Jos on Wednesday.

Pasali explained that the marketers are not responsible for the increase of the price of kerosene and the body solely responsible for the distribution of product is the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

He lamented that during the past administration, instead of using kerosene for domestic purpose; they were using it for political purpose, but now that this government has liberalized the market, IPMAN assured the price will crash.

“In the next few weeks we are bringing 50 metric tons of kerosene, and the price will crash. The only issue marketers are having right now is the issue of Forex, despite that challenge IPMAN has gotten financiers abroad, by God’s grace we are bringing our first cargo from Russia,” he said.
