Super Falcons retain 37th Position In FIFA Ranking, No.1 In Africa

Nigeria women’s senior national team, Super Falcons, maintained their number 37th position in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola World Ranking.

The ranking was released by FIFA on their official website on Friday.

The seven-times Africa Women’s Cup of Nations winners, however remain number one team on the continent.

Banyana Banyana of South Africa, who made their debut in the football event of the Olympics at the just concluded Rio 2016, were Africa’s highest movers as they moved up four places from 52nd to 48th in the world.

Meanwhile, the United States of America maintained the number one spot in the world despite failing to win a medal at Rio 2016.

They are closely followed by Olympic champions Germany, France in third, Canada fourth and England fifth.
