Fayose’s ally, Abiodun Agbele sent to Kuje Prison

Abiodun Agbele, an ally of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has been ordered remanded in prison custody.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja gave the ruling on Wednesday.
The ruling followed a motion by Agbele’s counsel, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), for his bail.
While Dimgba fixed Thursday for the ruling on the bail application, he ordered that Agbele be remanded in prison till then.

Agbele is being held and tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations that he aided Fayose in the movement of about N4.75 billion received from the Office of the National Security Adviser for the governorship election in Ekiti State in 2014.
