INEC To Deploy 5, 603 Personnel For Imo, Kogi Rerun Polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said a total of 5,603 personnel will be used in the conduct of next Saturday’s rerun elections in Imo and Kogi states.

A breakdown of the figure shows that a total of 4,105 personnel ‎will be deployed for the Imo rerun while 1, 498 will conduct the Kogi rerun poll.
The Imo rerun will hold in one senatorial district (Imo North) and three state constituencies.
The Kogi run rerun, however, holds in one senatorial zone (Kogi East) and two state constituencies.
INEC statement issued on Tuesday, further disclosed that the rerun polls will take place in eight local government areas in each of the state.
The rerun elections are as a result of the nullifcation of the 2015 elections into the affected areas by the Court of Appeal.
