Eid-al-Fitr: US Warns Its citizens Of Impending Terrorist Attacks

The United States Embassy in Nigeria has issued a warning to its citizens concerning looming terrorist attacks in Lagos state.

The embassy disclosed that the attacks might take place in hotels during the Eid-al-Fitr holidays.

The Embassy then urged citizens to review their security plans.

The statement reads thus:

The U.S. Mission in Nigeria advises that groups associated with terrorist activity might be planning attacks against hotels in Lagos frequented by international visitors, including those located on waterfronts, during the Eid-al-Fitr holidays (5 and 6 July 2016).

The U.S. Mission in Nigeria reminds you to review your personal security plans, remain aware of your surroundings, including local events, and monitor local news stations for updates.
