Late Gov. C.C. Onoh’s wife is dead

Caroline Onoh, the wife of the former Governor of old Anambra State, late Chief Christian Onoh, has died in Enugu at 81.

The second son of the former governor, Dr. Ken Onoh, confirmed his mother’s death on Wednesday while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria.
Onoh, who is also a Special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, said his mother died on Tuesday at the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Park Lane, Enugu after a brief illness.

He described his mother as a great and caring woman as well as a devout Catholic and prayed God for the repose of her soul.

The former lawmaker said burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
Mrs. Onoh was survived by four children, including Bianca Ojukwu, former ambassador to Spain and wife of late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Ikemba of Nnewi.
