NFF endorses Giwa FC’s expulsion from league

The Nigeria Football Federation has put a seal to Giwa FC of Jos’s expulsion from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The NFF Disciplinary Committee at its meeting on Monday in Abuja apart from endorsing the League Management Company’s decision delivered on May 3, 2016 on Giwa FC for breaching Rule B13.28 of the NPFL Frame Work and Rules, also imposed a fine of N10 million and additional N1 million to offset the expenses incurred by Enyimba for the botched match as well as another N650,000 for the expenses of the match officials.

“The Committee finds Giwa FC in breach of Rule B13.28 of the NPFL Frame Work and Rules which states that ‘if a club fails to honour three matches cumulatively within the league season without an acceptable reason to the LMC, such shall be expelled from the league and its matches played and unplayed shall be cancelled,” the committee, which was chaired by Prof. Olufemi Adegbola, stated.
