Manchester United to unveil Zlatan Ibrahimovic tomorrow?

The Sweden International is set to be the first major signing by new coach Jose Mourinho

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that there will be a “big announcement” on Tuesday, amid speculation that he is closing in on a move to Manchester United.

Speaking to Swedish television station Fotbollskanalen after Sweden’s 3-0 win over Wales, Ibrahimovic said: “There will be a big announcement on the 7th. It will be this summer’s big bomb.

“It feels good, feels better than good. A lot will happen with this news, so hopefully you’ll all enjoy.”

The striker, who will be a free agent from June 30 when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires, has not confirmed his next destination so far. He said on June 1 that he would only talk about where he was going next when he became “tired” of the stories about him.

But a source close to Manchester United has said the club are in advanced talks to sign the Sweden star on a one-year contract.

Sky Sports directly asked Ibrahimovic about his future in the mixed zone, saying: “Are you coming to the Premier League, are you coming to United?” but the 34-year-old laughed off the question.

However, Ibrahimovic is to launch his new line of clothing on Tuesday, so the former Inter Milan and Barcelona star could be playing with the media and referring to this.
