Naira dips at parallel market

The Naira on Wednesday dipped by 0.3 per cent as it was exchanged for N322 to a dollar at the parallel market.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the nation’s currency lost N1 from N321 it was previously traded for.

The Naira also depreciated against the Pound Sterling and Euro as it exchanged for N450 and N359 respectively from N445 and N355 it traded previously.
Meanwhile, the official inter bank rate remained at N197 to a dollar.

Traders at the market said some of their customers were put off by the current rate of the greenback and other currencies.
This, they said, was affecting the market negatively.
