FCT election: Police restrict vehicular movement on Saturday

As part of measures to guarantee a violence-free Area Council election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Saturday, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Wilson Inalegwu, has ordered restriction on vehicular movement while the exercise lasts.

The restriction, which will last between 7:00am and 4:00pm in the afternoon will, however, not affect vehicles on essential duties such as fire service, ambulances and others in that category.

A statement signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Office (PPRO), reads: “Ahead of the forthcoming Area Council elections in Federal Capital Territory slated for Saturday 9th April 2016, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Wilson Inalegwu has ordered the restriction of vehicular movement across FCT as from 7:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday 9th April, 2016.
