Scores of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters yesterday in Afo, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
They were led by a community leader and Atunluse of Afo, Chief R.B Animola.
The Asiwaju of Afo, Chief Oni Olowu, said grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation are important to the party’s success.
Olowu described Animola as a political reference point in Ose Local Government, whose political experience span over 60 years.
Animola said he was happy to lead many people from “darkness to light”, adding that they would work to ensure the APC’s victory in the November governorship poll.
“In November, we want to send the usurpers away with our votes and we are fully determined to achieve this.”
At the occasion were the Council APC Chairman, Chief J. M. Oredola, a governorship aspirant, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) and other party stalwarts.
