Some 5,000 supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State were billed to decamp to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday, New Telegraph has learnt.
The APC defectors will be formally received by PDP during the Local Government Council election flag-off campaign scheduled for March 12.
The Chairman of PDP Publicity Committee for the campaign, Alhaji Mohammed Arewa, who disclosed this in Sokoto on Thursday, however, noted that the event will be presided over by the former governor of the state, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa at Bodinga.
