A 39-year-old man, who disguises as a madman was Sunday arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in possession of 22 Automated Teller Machine Cards, phones and power bank in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State .
His arrest followed a tip off by residents who had been complaining about increasing number of individuals who pose like insane persons to perpetrate evil in the state.
Although there were suspicion that the arrested suspect may have been working for highly placed individuals in the state, ‘New Telegraph’ also gathered that the suspect, was under watch for about two weeks before he was finally intercepted.
The suspect, Lanrewaju Jaiyeola was arrested on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island while wandering around with a back where the items were kept.
An official of the RRS, who pleaded anonymity, told ‘New Telegraph’ that the suspect was sighted in a suspicious manner carrying a backpack.
