A man got robbed after sharing a photo of himself holding a large amount of cash on snapchat.
According to the police in Florida, the 18-year-old man posted a picture of himself with a large amount of cash and then got robbed at knife-point just several hours after posting the image on social media site, Snapchat.
The victim told investigators that he was in his room playing video games when he heard a noise but he assumed it was his house cleaner and ignored the noise.
Moments later, two men broke into his house were wearing masks and carrying knives. They then demanded the $280 that they saw in a photo on Snapchat earlier in the day. They then collected the victim’s wallet and a Seiko watch.
The victim called the police soon as they left, telling them that he recognized one of the men. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s office soon caught the identified robber.
The thief identified as 21-year-old Faried Said has since confessed to the crime.
