Otukpo stands still as ex-ministers, ex-deputy governor, others defect to APC in Benue

Otukpo town in Benue State stood still on Saturday as a former Deputy Governor of Benue State, Chief Steven Lawani; a former Minister of the Niger Delta, Sam Ode; a former Minister of State for Education, Prof. Jerry Agada; a former Federal Permanent Secretary of Defence, Chief Mike Okibe; and thousands of their supporters decamped to the All Progressives Congress.

The event was held at the Government Secondary School, Otukpo.
The National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who arrived Otukpo since yesterday afternoon.

The Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, was also at the occasion, which was used to launch the campaign for the senatorial bid of Dan Onjeh, who is to slug it out in a rerun against a former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark.
