Chelsea sack steward for calling Fabregas “a snake”

Chelsea have sacked a steward, after he called Cesc Fabregas “a snake”.

The incident is understood to have happened earlier this season, but footage only got onto the Internet on Friday.

In the eight-second clip, Fabregas is shocked as the steward tells him: “You’re a snake, you’re Arsenal, what happened to you?”

The Spaniard made 503 appearances for Arsenal, after joining as a 15-year-old from Barcelona in 2003.

Fabregas returned to Camp Nou in 2011, before moving to the Gunners’ London rivals in June 2014.

A Chelsea spokesman told MirrorSport: “The steward no longer works at Stamford Bridge.”

The 28-year-old returns to the Emirates this weekend, when the Blues take on Arsene Wenger’s men in the Premier League.
