Police Appoints New Deputy Force PRO

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase,  has appointment Sogbeba Dulphine West as the new Deputy Force Public Relations Officer.

This was disclosed in a statement released on Monday and signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole, an Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police.

According to the statement, West is a Chief Superintendent of Police who holds a diploma in Security Strategies and hails from Rivers State.

The statement said: “He served in Enugu Command, and was the Personal Assistant to the then CP of the Command. He has also headed the Special Anti-robbery Squad, Enugu, worked in Taraba State Command.

“On the foreign scene, CSP Sogbeba West has served in the United Nations Peacekeeping Missions in Kosovo and East Timor.

“His experience in policing has seen him through in Nasarawa, Rivers and Kogi Commands. With this vast experience and external exposure, CSP West is now the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer and can be reached on 08056831771.”

He replaces Abayomi Shogunle, who has been moved to the Crime Response Unit (CRU).
