Air Force strikes Boko Haram workshop, fuel and ammunition dumps in Sambisa

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jets have successfully carried out airstrikes and destroyed the Boko Haram sect’s vehicle workshops, fuel and ammunition within the Sambisa forest.

Air Commodore Dele Alonge, Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, said the feat was result of a painstaking Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) efforts by the NAF’s Unmanned Aerial vehicle (UAV) and ATR-42 platforms.

He expressed Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar’s assurance to all Nigerians that the latest strikes on the insurgents had weakened their capabilities as land forces prepare for final onslaught to meet President Muhammadu Buhari’s directives to bring insurgency in the North-East to an end.
